As Industry & Clean Tech advisor, you will:

  • Join the dynamic energy policy, climate & sustainability team reporting to the Head of Unit;
  • Monitor, analyze and seek to influence EU policy and legislative developments of relevance for the topic of industry and wider clean tech EU policies including access to critical raw materials, supply chains and industry policy. Current relevant files include the Critical raw materials strategy, Economic security package, Industrial Accelerator Act as more geostrategic files of relevance such as the Energy Security Package;
  • Interact with members to build consensus, develop and then advocate Eurelectric’s positions and policy recommendations on these files and other energy related issues. This involves handling the process of co-creating position papers, policy recommendations and other advocacy deliverables, incl. dissemination and advocacy campaigns;
  • Prepare and present at high level meetings and ensure external representation towards the EU institutions and other stakeholders.

Requirements and competencies:

  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in EU climate & energy and/or industry policy;
  • Expertise in key EU energy & related industry policy files;
  • Background or personal interest in critical raw materials, cleantech manufacturing, industry policy, energy security (e.g. NZIA, CRM, Industrial Accelerator Act etc.) is a strong asset;
  • University degree in EU Affairs, Energy Policy, Law, Political Science etc.;
  • Strong interest and hands-on experience with EU initiatives, legislation, and regulatory processes. Good understanding of EU policy-making and lobbying dynamics;
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills (both written and oral).
