From digital transformation and national cyber resilience to high-hazard manufacturing and software systems development, the breadth of our activity is rewarding, stimulating, and inspiring. We have enjoyed double digit growth for the last few years, outperforming the market and our peers. With new investment, we are looking to capitalise on our position and build new services and propositions to take to market. This role will play a key role in this agenda bringing new challenges, development and personal growth.West Midlands, Cheltenham, Manchester, London, Bristol. Regular travel to client sites in the South and Southwest of England expected.Your purpose:As Client Director you will be responsible for refining and executing on the market strategy withing the account area of Strategic Command. Through application of Key Account Management, you will be expected to:

  • Deliver success from the existing pipeline and build upon it to develop a long-term view of growth.
  • Understand the client’s strategy, addressable spend, key points of influence, culture, external drivers, challenges, risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver order intake to support financial targets, growing work in hand with longer contract periods.
  • Be recognised as the key relationship holder with senior clients, providing knowledge, resources and acting as a trusted advisor and critical friend.
  • Work with strategic partners and existing suppliers to develop new opportunities and new areas of growth.
  • Work with peers within the market team who are accountable for different areas of the Defence Market, to understand and drive broader opportunities and maximise growth for the market overall.
  • Develop the team within the Strategic Command account into a high-performing team, winning and delivering to the highest benchmarks.
  • Champion the AtkinsRéalis reputation for quality delivery of client work.

What you can bring:

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and winning work, including defending and expanding the current footprint, and, practically, breaking into new clients.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and demands, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders and partners / supply chain.
  • An ability to collaborate for the greater good, thinking and acting within a team context to move AtkinsRéalis forward in the UK Defence market.
  • Strong commercial, financial and business acumen.
