Climate and Environment Specialist

Support the organization in integrating climate resilience and environmental sustainability into its programs. Provide technical expertise, ensure compliance with environmental standards, and strengthen partnerships to enhance climate-smart solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement climate adaptation and environmental sustainability strategies in line with the organization’s mission.
• Conduct climate risk assessments and integrate resilience measures into programs.
• Provide technical guidance to staff and partners on climate-smart interventions.
• Ensure compliance with environmental policies, donor requirements, and global standards.
• Engage with stakeholders, advocate for climate policies, and represent the organization in relevant forums.

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in climate resilience, sustainability, or environmental programming within NGOs.
• Strong knowledge of climate policies, risk assessments, and adaptation strategies.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
