Salary range: £45,495 – £48,587 per annum
Work location: County Hall, Oxford (Hybrid work- working from home also)
Hours per week: 37 – we are open to discussions about flexible working

About the role

We have created new teams in our growing climate action service. Our role of Climate Policy and
Programme Team Leader will lead on providing expert support for the development of policy and
strategy across the organisation to deliver our ambition of a net zero and climate resilient
county.

This role will ensure the council has performance measures, evidence and data to support
reporting on progress. You will also develop our ability to respond to planning applications
and support development of planning policy that can positively impact development in
Oxfordshire.

About you

We’re looking for a strong strategic thinker, excellent communicator and confident partnership
worker. You will have expert knowledge of climate mitigation and adaptation policy and
experience of developing strategies to drive change, including in partnership. You will be able
to build working relationships and effectively communicate complex and professional advice.
