About This Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for Clinical Educators in Allied Health to join us at Southern Queensland Rural Health (SQRH) to make a real and positive difference to the education of our students and the future of regional healthcare in Queensland.
SQRH has established an Allied Health Education Hub in partnership with Goondir Health Services in St George, Queensland, and to support this initiative, we are seeking Clinical Educators in one of the following disciplines: Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or Dietetics.
As a Clinical Educator, you will support effective, high quality rural training experiences for allied health students in St George and the surrounding region. This involves supporting the supervision of students during rural clinical placements, facilitating interprofessional learning opportunities during student placements, and enhancing support and education to both students and clinical supervisors. This is a varied role with the opportunity to contribute to student education, health service design and delivery, workforce capacity building and rural health research.
These positions will be based in the Goondir Community Wellbeing Centre in St George. Here, you will be responsible for the development, coordination and delivery of student-assisted preventative health programs within the Centre. You will also be joining a wider Clinical Education Team based across the Darling Downs and South West Queensland.
Join the welcoming rural community of St George and experience a truly authentic outback lifestyle. For those eager for a tree change, we’ll support you with a generous relocation support package.

We have multiple positions available which may be filled in either a full-time or part-time capacity. Flexible working arrangements can be negotiated. These are fixed-term positions through to 31 December 2024 (pending funding renewal) at Academic Level B.
The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $106,079 – $125,687 plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. We will also supplement your salary with an additional 10% rural location market loading. The total FTE package will be in the range $124,113 – $147,054 per annum.
The greater benefits of joining the UQ community are broad: from being part of a Group of Eight university, to recognition of prior service with other Australian universities, up to 26 weeks of paid parental leave, 17.5% annual leave loading, and genuine career progression opportunities via the academic promotions process.
