- Remuneration: $110,000 to $130,000 (FTE to be pro-rated to part time plus 11% superannuation)
- Employment Type: Part-time (negotiable 2-3 days per week)

St John Ambulance (Vic) has been saving lives and delivering care and compassion throughout Victoria for 140 years. Our volunteers and staff are the lifeblood of everything we do. We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Governance Lead to oversee the clinical quality program of works that provide high impact, safe and effective services under the Clinical Governance Framework.
The Opportunity
The Clinical Governance Lead will be responsible for developing, improving and overseeing the clinical governance system to ensure all activities across St John Ambulance Victora (SJAV) are person and community centred, clinically safe, evidence based while ensuring legal and clinical standards and regulations are met.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high level clinical advice utilising your clinical experience to improve service design and delivery
- Ensure governance frameworks, plans and procedures are established, implemented and maintained
- Review and develop clinical guidelines in collaboration with relevant clinical advisory committees and St John National Clinical Governance Committee
- Provide leadership on all issues relating to clinical excellence including clinical training and competencies
- Promote and provide ongoing education and awareness of the principles of SJAV standards for clinical quality & safety
- Act as Secretariat for the Clinical Governance Committe and the internal clinical committees
- Plan and direct audits and reviews of SJAV clinical activities to enhance effectiveness and efficiency
- Establish and develop a robust clinical quality manual, quality and safety principles, performance measures, Clinical risk management
Your experience
- You will hold an AHPRA Accreditation with qualification in Nursing or other relevant Allied Health qualification with extensive experince in strategic and clinical leadership at a senior level
- Extensive experience in General Healthcare operations, public health, aged care or multidisciplinary clinical practices
- Demonstrated understanding of costing, budgeting, clinical reporting, clinical based practice and the ability to minimise organisational risks
- High-level understanding of contemporary approaches to clinical quality management in the health care sector
- High level research skills, strategic and analytical thinking and innovative approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experienced in investigating clinical incidents and riving change and improvements
- Experience in designing, developing and delivering specialiased training programmes
- Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and quality managment would be highly regarded
