The Company/Home Details:A fantastic opportunity for a Home Manager to join a lovely care home. They are an Award Winning healthcare organisation specialising in Care of the elderly providing the highest standards of personalised care to residents in Scotland.The home is medium sized, offering care primarily in Dementia / Older Person Care / Physical Disability / Respite Care. This would be a turnaround project, so requires a strong, experienced manager ith confidence in turning around homes.What we are looking for in you…We’re looking for a Nursing Home experienced Registered Manager with an activet Pin on the NMC register. You’ll also either have a Registered Managers Award Level 4, or Leadership and Management in Care level 4/5, or willingness to study for one.As a Home Manager, your role encompasses ensuring the overall well-being of our residents. This involves attending to their physical, emotional, and social needs. You will also be responsible for leading, motivating, and guiding your team, while providing clinical direction and training to ensure the care home operates safely and efficiently. Your duties include conducting assessments and crafting personalised care plans for each resident, as well as overseeing work areas to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. Emphasising residents’ independence, choice, dignity, and respect is paramount, achieved through maintaining high standards of care and actively seeking opportunities for enhancement.Key responsibilities of a Home Manager:
- Ensure compliance with the Care Inspectorate regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience as a tunraround manager essential
- Achieve predetermined levels of turnover and profitability.
- Conduct formal supervision and performance appraisals of staff members in accordance with company policy. Additionally, engage in ongoing informal assessments of staff performance to uphold consistent high standards.
- Cultivate and oversee relationships with external stakeholders by maintaining effective communication channels. This includes regular contact and meetings with residents, relatives, staff members, the Director of Operations, Head Office, and other relevant parties.
- Ensure the Care Home maintains an appealing presentation and is effectively promoted within the local community and beyond.
