Salary package: $89,134 to $102,600 per annum plus 17% superannuation

About the Division
The University Experience Division is within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Portfolio. The University Experience Division provides a range of support, enrichment, and advisory services to help students achieve their educational goals.

Student Safety and Wellbeing
The intake team sits within Student Safety and Wellbeing and is responsible for providing intake and triage functions including assessment of needs, risk and urgency, and referral options for students seeking access to ANU Student Safety and Wellbeing and ANU Counselling.  The role supports students presenting with a variety of issues including mental ill-health, trauma, grief and loss, substance misuse, relationship issues, housing and financial concerns.

About the opportunity
The Clinical Intake Officer will contribute to the University’s commitment to centrally coordinate and monitor support to create a safe, healthy and supportive environment for all students.  The Clinical Intake Officer will be adept at working as part of a multidisciplinary team with knowledge and experience of mental health service provision and will maintain professional working relationships with ANU Counselling, ANU Student Safety and Wellbeing and other key ANU services, and with agencies within the community to establish integrated care pathways for students.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have experience in providing intake and triage screening assessment for people needing wellbeing and mental health support.
  • Be able to demonstrate collaborative practice in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Be able to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have accreditation or be eligible for membership with a relevant professional body.
