- headspace Coffs Harbour,
- headspace Grafton, and
- The Mental Health Nursing Services Program for the North Coast.
We work in partnership with other community organisations and the Local Health Districts and our funders to ensure our services complement and strengthen the public health sector. We provide evidence based primary, specialist, allied health and health promotion services for those at risk in the community.

We’re currently seeking a Clinical Lead to take on a pivotal full time (38-hour week) role within our headspace Coffs Harbour service. Reporting directly to the Centre Manager, the Clinical lead will oversee the coordination and delivery of high-quality, evidence-based clinical services and psychological interventions tailored to the unique needs of our clients aged 12 to 25 years.
Alongside providing direct client care, the Clinical Lead provides debriefing and escalation support to the clinical team to ensure exceptional service delivery. To facilitate effective supervision, the Clinical Lead will carry a 0.5 FTE caseload.

On a daily basis your role would include:
- Providing client-centred care to young people, incorporating family and significant others where appropriate through conducting clinical assessments and delivering individualised, evidence based psychological interventions.
- Actively participating in a multidisciplinary team.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders.
- Maintain current, high-quality client records while adhering to confidentiality standards and fulfilling duty of care, professional ethics, and legislative requirements.
- Provide de-briefing and escalation support to the Clinical team.
- Attend case review meetings and participate in individual supervision, peer reflection and team meetings

About you:
We are seeking a professional, innovative, and caring clinician who thrives as part of a multi-disciplinary team and enjoys working with a wide range of external stakeholders involved in providing health, mental health, and psychosocial services and has leadership experience. You will have tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, occupational therapy or other clinical discipline related to mental health and registration with the appropriate professional body such as AHPRA or AASW.
The right candidate will have:
- Experience working with young peoples’ mental health and well-being, leading to the provision of inclusive and high-quality therapeutic services, with a solution and changed based focus.
- Skills and experience in the assessment, formulation, diagnosis, and provision of evidence-based psychological treatments of mental health disorders.
- Experience conducting risk assessments of people and developing and implementing risk management and safety plans.
- Highly developed interpersonal communication and decision-making skills, coupled with the ability to involve other staff actively and appropriately, clients, their families, and significant others in the delivery of service where appropriate.

Our team works to enhance mental health and wellbeing to young people between the ages of 12 and 25 who have an emerging mental health concern or are impacted at a mild to moderate level by their mental health. We provide short term, early intervention support.
