The Clinical Staff Development Educator in HMHI Crisis services is responsible for promoting patient care and organizational effectiveness, by serving as a coordinator, resource, liaison, and leader in organizational behavior and staff development. Priorities also include new-hire onboarding and ongoing training/education in clinical best practices for suicide prevention, crisis intervention, and the recovery model across all programs (CrisisLine, WarmLine, SafeUT, and MCOT).
This position requires a bachelor’s degree, and preferrence for one of the following licenses:
The Clinical Staff Development Educator delivers training and education in a variety of settings, including but not limited to traditional classroom, one-to-one, and small groups. The Clinical Staff Development Educator presents to interdepartmental committees, task forces, quality teams, and builds close relationships with management to identify training needs.
The incumbent develops cost-effective, high-impact organizational strategies and solutions that address critical business issues and participates in large-scale organization change efforts impacting multiple levels of stakeholders.
Program and Department Overview:
HMHI Community Crisis Intervention and Support services provides hope, healing, and connectedness through a continuum of crisis, referral, and data services available to all Utahns, anywhere and anytime.
This includes (1) a Crisis Line accepting all calls and providing and dispatching support based on the assessed need of the caller, (2) Mobile Crisis Teams dispatched to wherever the need is in the community, (3) a Crisis Receiving and Stabilization Center, (4) a Warm Line to provide less acute services for emotional support, (5) Text and tip based service provision via SafeUT, and (6) Safe Care Transitions for our highest risk patients.
