Co-Lead Evaluator: MY Voice Program

Position description

The Mitchell Group, Inc. (TMG), a Washington, DC based government contractor specializing in international development work, is seeking a Co-Lead Evaluator to play a key role in conducting an interim performance evaluation of the MY Voice: Project to Combat Forced Labor and Child Labor in the Production of Goods in Malaysia supported by the Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) for the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL). Malaysian candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

Evaluation fieldwork is expected to take place for three weeks in November 2024. Fieldwork will be conducted in-person in Malaysia. Potential evaluation sites include Selangor, Perak, Johor, Pahang, and Kedah in Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah in East Malaysia.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s Degree or higher;

Previous relevant experience supporting and conducting program evaluations, studies or assessments using quantitative and qualitative methods and analyzing data is required.

Specialized knowledge of issues regarding forced labor, child labor in the garment and palm oil industries in Malaysia, and civil society advocacy is preferred.

Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English is required. 

Fluency in Malay, and common languages of migrant populations in Malaysia including Bengali, Nepali, or Tamil, is highly preferred;

Ability to produce high quality reports in proficient English in a timely fashion
