The Coastal Community Program Coordinator is a full-time position based in Lake Forest and Zion Illinois. This new position is funded by a grant partnership with IL Coastal Management Program (ICMP) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The Program Coordinator will create, implement, and manage community outreach and educational programming for new research into coastal wetland restoration and management at Illinois Beach State Park (IBSP). Programming will prioritize creating connections with local communities that have limited access to environmental education, stewardship opportunities, and scientific fieldwork. The position reports to the Director of the Center for Conservation Leadership (CCL) at Lake Forest Open Lands.
Within six months of hire, the program coordinator will create programming in collaboration with ICMP for implementation in 2025-2026.
