About the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences

About the Role

We are seeking a vibrant and motivated College Support Assistant to contribute to the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences’ quality customer service culture through operational and administration support.

As a College Support Assistant, you will be a central point of contact for professional and academic staff via front line and reception duties. Additionally, you will undertake administration support by monitoring multiple email inboxes, purchasing and maintaining office supplies, managing catering orders for College events, drafting and preparing agendas, distributing minutes and coordinating appointments for the College Leadership Team.

Within a collaborative and collegial Operations Team, you will also receive in-house training and support to thrive and progress in a fast-paced and upbeat higher education landscape.

About You

You will have demonstrated experience in the provision of administrative services, providing quality outcomes using judgement, initiative, and confidentiality. You will be detail-orientated, and you will demonstrate well-developed organisational skills to provide support to events and functions.

In this collaborative role, your interpersonal and stakeholder management skills will be the key to your success, allowing you to build productive relationships, engage a range of audiences, and work effectively both individually and as part of a team.

Prescribed Conditions for Employment

  • A valid National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the University will also be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
