The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Analyst to join our Corporate Services division. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting strategic decision-making through effective management of business operations. Specifically, you will focus on tenders, quotations, vendor contract management, procurement, and related tasks. Your insights and recommendations will be integral to achieving favourable outcomes that align with our organisational goals and enhance our business performance and financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the tender and quotation process, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. This includes maintaining documentation, securing approvals, and upholding process standards.
  • Develop and maintain a robust contract management system to optimise vendor relationships and performance.
  • Oversee the annual renewal of our organisation’s insurance policies to ensure adequate coverage and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage the procurement process, including regular review of Berry Street’s Procurement Policy, staff training initiatives, and the development of a comprehensive Procurement Manual. You will enhance our procurement processes and systems to streamline operations organisation-wide.

Team Collaboration

This role is an integral part of our Corporate Services team, which oversees financial functions and manages our facilities, properties, and information technology and communication systems. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver essential services to our community.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in commercial analysis, preferably within a similar organisational context.
  • Strong understanding of tendering, quotations, vendor contract management, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
