The Group has interests in over 30 exploration and production licences across 8 countries in Africa and South America.Tullow Oil has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join the Commercial & Business Development Team.The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Business Development team working across Tullow’s operations, supporting project teams undertaking Investment analysis. The Commercial Analyst will develop a deep understanding of the Business working across functional boundaries to clearly articulate the valuation request, economic drivers, and sensitives in support of Business Planning/BA opportunity evaluation. This is a full-time permanent position, based in our Chiswick office with hybrid working arrangements.The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For

  • Conduct Economic and Business Valuations for all Capital Investments according to best practice standards ensuring consistence and adhering to Tullow’s internal procedures and guidelines
  • Managing detailed financial models for valuation and long-term forecasting for all Tullow’s interests
  • Distilling complex technical and fiscal data into clear and succinct information useful for decision making
  • Presenting results of economic valuations to relevant teams and team leads with recommendations and investment proposals based on clear and detailed list of assumptions
  • Working closely with the Head of Planning and Economics and Corporate Planning Manager to Coordinate between Business teams and Planning function to develop long term Business plans and to collate required information for Tullow’s capital allocation and life cycle value chain processes
  • Support Finance team during the Year-end and Half year financial audits
  • Support delivery of Group Strategic and Business Development initiatives as appropriate, helping to evaluate and screen opportunities
  • Knowledge of building detailed excel based financial and valuation models and understanding of different Upstream Petroleum fiscal regimes preferred
  • Understanding of investment appraisal methodology in in a highly capital-intensive industry
  • Experience working as part of a team
  • Internal stakeholder management experience
  • Engineering, Subsurface, or financial backgrounds are all potentially suitable
