Role purpose

This role is responsible for utilising advanced modelling and data analytics to provide robust forecasts, analysis and reports that enable more effective, timely and informed business decisions.  Your responsibilities will include providing financial analysis and insights to  operational teams  and assisting managers to evaluate and integrate the information they receive into their operational performance. You will also be taking part in projects and contribute towards performance improvement initiatives to ensure the financial sustainability and compliance with Aged Care Reform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transform Data into Insights: Develop dynamic dashboard reports using Power BI to visualise key metrics and trends.
  • Advanced Financial Modelling: Create and manipulate sophisticated financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Forecast with Precision: Develop medium-term business forecasts that integrate our organisational strategy and industry trends.
  • Drive Performance: Analyse data and trends to provide actionable insights that enhance financial and operational performance.
  • Develop actionable insights from analysing data and trends and help drive financial and operational performance with the business
  • Benchmarking Excellence: Contribute to benchmark reporting and analysis, ensuring we stay competitive.
  • Innovate and Improve: Support the execution of new initiatives to optimise systems, processes, and operations.
  • Comprehensive Reporting: Deliver essential financial reports for Board, Executive, and Management review.
  • Identify Opportunities: Proactively spot opportunities and challenges, assessing their financial impacts.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and understand their business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years’ in a finance analyst or commercial / business analyst role, collaborating with non-financial stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting / Finance.
  • Current membership to the Australia Society of Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA), Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) institute

Experience skills and attributes

  • Reporting Expertise: Proven track record of producing accurate and timely management reports.
  • Data Mastery: Skilled in managing, analysing, and deriving insights from large datasets.
  • Visualisation Pro: Experience in creating impactful dashboard reports and effective PowerPoint presentations.
  • Excel Power User: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Communication Proficiency: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organisational Experience: Proven experience in working within a large and complex organisation.
  • Commercial Modelling: Actively engage in commercial modelling for new service models, contracts, and adapting to changes in operational regulations.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Possess exceptional problem-solving skills

  • Bonus Skills: Familiarity with Adaptive Insights.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in Residential Aged Care, Home Care, or Not-for-Profit sectors is a plus.
  • Workday Expertise: Hands-on experience with Workday systems.
