This role is funded by National Lottery Heritage funding.
Part-time, 12 month fixed-term contract, open as PAYE or self employed applicants
15 hours per week generally worked Monday to Friday but occasionally 5 days out of any 7-
day week.
Reports to Trust Director
£35,000 per annum, pro rata.

Job Summary

As the Commercial Manager you will be responsible for developing the Stanwick Lakes’
commercial activity including private hire, conferencing and corporate teambuilding,
sponsorship and other commercial giving. You will seek out new relationships in the business
and events community to constantly extend the range of hires opportunities and events on
offer.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Work with the Trust Director to develop and deliver a three-year commercial strategy that delivers against RFT Enterprises business plan targets and increases annual profits by 25% by 2027.
  • Grow Stanwick Lakes’ private and corporate hire offer, maximising the use of the site’s facilities to meet income targets.
  • With the support of the Head of Catering create a range of packages to suit the needs of different clients e.g. private parties, corporate functions, coach tours, children’s parties etc.
  • Explore alternative commercial hire opportunities e.g. filming events, rallies etc with the aim of securing new income streams.
  • Where possible, and working with SMT leads, identify potential corporate patrons and business sponsorship opportunities for Stanwick Lakes’ education, conservation and community programmes.
  • Develop strong relationships with business and events representatives across Northamptonshire and the region.
  • Work with the Trust Director and Marketing Manager to develop and distribute successful marketing campaigns/promotional material where relevant to the commercial operation.
  • Work with the Director to set annual income targets for RFTE
  • Provide regular reports to the Trust Director, SMT and Board of Trustees as required.
  • Demonstrate awareness/understanding of equal opportunities and other people’s behavioural, physical, social and welfare needs.
  • Act as key-holder as required.
  • Act as first-aider and fire warden as required.

In addition, all employees are expected to work within the terms of their contract of employment and adhere to Stanwick Lakes policies.

Occasionally situations may arise that require the post holder to perform other duties or tasks as may be reasonably requested by Stanwick Lakes.
