Job descriptionAn excellent opportunity to join a rail/civils contractor in Petersfield, Hampshire. The right candidate should have a rail/civils background in a contractor setting and be able to work with a multi-discipline team. This role is mainly office and site based with career development opportunities and a competitive salary.– Manage the preparation of tender, pricing and contract documentation– Carry out QS pricing tasks daily– Ability to lead a team of commercial staff– Ability to establish a commercial team to help support the growth of the business– Strong leadership skills– Negotiate and agree variations of contract terms with clients as well as suppliers– Follow company policies and procedures– Regularly review contract terms and conditions, identify risks and unacceptable terms and solutions– Develop contract commercial management plansRequirements– Degree in commercial management, quantity surveying or similar– Proactive, ability to hit the ground running– Ability to influence and negotiate– Problem solving skills– Commercial experience on rail/civils projectsDesirable:– Membership of RICS, CICES or CIOB.– Experience of Sicon
