Salary: up to £30,000 per annumPlatinum Recruitment is working in partnership with an exciting new Luxury Wellness Resort in Bridport (West Dorset) who are looking for an ambitious and motivated Commis Chef to join their growing team.This position would suit a Commis Chef or Kitchen Porter with experience working in a professional kitchen who wants to build a career working with seasonal, high-quality produce to create responsibly sourced dishes. Working with the established kitchen team you will be coached by some truly inspirational chefs who have worked across the world learning their trade.What’s in it for you?As a Commis Chef you will assist the senior chefs in the kitchen to prepare food for service, developing your existing skill set and learning from chefs with unrivalled experience. You will gain experience, learning how a professional kitchen operates working with high quality, seasonal products with a key focus on high welfare treatment for the animals reared on-site.

• Develop your skill set, learning key skills to take forward in your career
• Become integral to the success of the resort, using your passion for creating high quality fresh dishes to provide an exceptional experience for the guests
• Work closely with a highly experienced Executive Chef and Sous Chef who have worked in kitchens across the world

Package

• Up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Opportunities to achieve a 10% bonus with agreed KPI’s
• 40 hour working week

Customers will be able to spend their time unwinding in their own way whether that be Yoga, a Vineyard tour or simply a remote walk in the wilderness.What’s involved?Our client is building something special; a Luxury Wellness Resort spanning one hundred acres of working farmland in the picturesque location of Bridport, boasting their own vineyard, livestock, and wellness products. As a Commis Chef you will assist the Head Chef in the preparation of produce ready for service; this will include seasonal home-grown fruits and vegetables, animal products reared on site, and seafood from locally sourced businesses. Duties will also include but not be limited to kitchen cleaning and porter duties, stock management, and assistant cooking during service when required.This role would suit a Commis Chef or Kitchen Porter with some experience working in professional kitchens who is passionate and dedicated to developing a career working as a chef.
