communication and event management in international agricultural research funding

Field of activity

As a federal company, GIZ supports the federal government in achieving its goals in international cooperation for sustainable development. The International Agricultural Research Fund (FIA) promotes development-oriented agricultural research through investments in the Global Research Partnership for a Food-Secure Future (CGIAR) and two other international agricultural research centers. FIA specifically funds bilateral projects, multilateral research initiatives and platforms of the One CGIAR research portfolio as well as the Crops to End Hunger program to modernize plant breeding in the CGIAR. FIA also advises the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) on international agricultural research and on linking agricultural research with other development projects funded by the BMZ.

Your tasks

• Support in the area of ​​“Communication & Events” in collaboration with relevant areas within GIZ and international agricultural research (CGIAR)
• Content-related work and logistical support for high-profile events (e.g. webinars and face-to-face events)
• Research activities, evaluation of relevant literature/texts and other additional work, e.g. B. for BMZ inquiries
• Support in the creation of public relations documents, e.g. by processing statuses in graphic or interactive representation
• Support with documentation and filing
• Simple content-related or commercial work, e.g. B. when preparing service contracts

your profile

• You will be studying in the field of communication sciences, public relations or public relations from the third semester onwards, or you have completed your studies no more than 6 months ago
• You have organizational skills and a high degree of initiative
• It is easy for you to communicate with many different people in person, via email, chat or in a video conference
• You are interested in sustainable development and international cooperation
• You can process and present complex information in a clear and understandable manner
• You have the ability to work systematically, even under time pressure
• You have business fluent language skills in German and English (French desirable)
• We require very good knowledge of common MS Office programs (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• You have an affinity for development cooperation and international agricultural research
