Social Media communication strategy:
The production of social media friendly digital communication products and materials are timely executed and followed up to support country communication strategy, regional and global campaigns and priorities, and to support resource mobilization as set out in the work plan.
Social media monitoring and evaluation:
Regular monitoring and evaluation of digital activities are undertaken according to the work plan to ensure maximum impact and continuous improvement of country communication efforts. Results and reports are prepared and shared on a timely basis.
Online community:
Assist and support in the growing of UNICEF’s digital supporter community via external communication activities in collaboration with other sections.
Website content: Website content, including press releases and articles, is updated regularly. Press releases and statements are adequately disseminated in a timely manner via owned digital platforms, including but not limited to, UNICEF MCO’s social media channels and corporate website.
Celebrities, partners and special events:
The Country Office’s contact list of individuals, groups, organizations and fora (including Government, UN, and bilateral counterparts), is utilised to assist in achieving digital advocacy and communication objectives. Support such individuals participation in special events and activities that further the country programme goals
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have:
- A first University Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field
- Work Experience
- One-year practical professional work experience in digital communication, social media management, print and broadcast media, or interactive digital media.
- At least 1 year managing social media accounts for an NGO/CSO OR UN Agency.
- Experience in Wordpress &/OR Drupal Content Management System an asset
- Experience in design platforms like Canva, or similar.
- Proficiency in graphic or motion graphic design an asset
- Experience in professional photography an asset.
- Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
