About the assignment
We’re looking for a Communication Officer who can volunteer for six months remote from home:
- This assignment seeks to effectively and successfully support PEKKA with the communication strategy for the communication campaigns on social media platforms.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need have some experience in demonstrated experience in having writing and editing skills.
- You will be working alongside Communication team.
About the Partner Organisation
Since 2000, Women-Headed Family Empowerment (PEKKA) Foundation has focused on empowering female heads of families to improve their livelihoods and to encourage them to be active in social and political life. PEKKA Foundation started activities in mid-2001, with the first group of women households or family heads (Kelompok Pekka) formed in early 2002 in East Nusa Tenggara. In these 20 years, PEKKA Foundation has reached more than 78,000 women across 87 districts in 20 provincesThe programme focuses are broad and include economic empowerment, legal empowerment, leadership training, and increasing access to public services and social protection for women-headed families.

Allowance
AUD $131 per month.
Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
