Result of Service
The contractor will contribute to the work of the secretariat by: – Review and input into the draft reports and articles on the project, 60 pages in English; – Write news, articles, PRs and content of the project’s website, 80 pages in English; – Social media posts, content for the website, flyers and poster, Power Point presentations for the project, events and activities, 60 pages in English; – Regularly updated website content; – Graphic designs for various communication materials, as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of Ms. Thamara Fortes – Project Manager, the contractor will support the implementation of the project “UN4UkrainianCities – Enhancing urban planning in the cities of Kharkiv and Mykolaiv in Ukraine by supporting the implementation of the new master plans and facilitating investments in sustainable urban infrastructure”. The contractor will be responsible for managing the continuous content updates of the dedicated UN4UkrainianCities website and social media platforms. Under the project, the contractor will support the secretariat in communication and dissemination of project information and results through the preparation and implementation of a communication/social media campaign including social media posts (for LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram), write articles and Press Releases, content for the project website and interviews. The Communication Specialist will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Website Content Management: – Regularly update website content to reflect organizational updates, events, and news. – Ensure the website is user-friendly, visually appealing, and optimized for search engines 2. Public Relations: – Draft press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials. 3. Social Media Management: – Develop and implement social media strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. – Create engaging content, including posts, graphics, and videos, to increase audience engagement and reach. – Monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries, and facilitate online discussions. 4. Graphic Design: – Design graphics for social media posts, website banners, newsletters, and other promotional materials. – Ensure consistency in branding and visual identity across all communication materials.
Qualifications/special skills
First degree in Communications or related. A minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in Communications or related area is required. Expertise in website content management, PR, social media management, and graphic design is requiered
Languages
Fluency in English is required.
