Technical Focus

It is necessary to hire a specialized specialist to support the Brazilian Council for Food and Nutritional Security to create and implement communication strategies related to the food and nutritional security agendas and produce content to support the debates of the 6th Brazilian Conference on Food and Nutritional Security. The hiring of this assignment is justified by the need to give visibility to the actions carried out by Consea, based on the carrying out of a study to create a communication plan for the Brazilian Council for Food and Nutritional Security; writing, editing and publishing news related to CONSEA’s activities on official communication channels, communicating with media outlets for dissemination; surveying actions related to food and nutritional security and the impact of CONSEA’s activities in the press; as well as the production of content to support the debates of the 6th Brazilian Conference on Food and Nutrition Security.

Tasks and Responsibilities

The objective of hiring the incumbent: Elaboration of strategy proposals for the Implementation of Communication Plans for the Brazilian Council for Food and Nutritional Security – CONSEA.
• In close collaboration with OCC branches and focal points, the incumbent will:Prepare a Work Plan, in a model established by the FAO – Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, containing the development strategy for all consultancy products, which must be delivered together with the first product to be presented;
• Carry out a study to create a communication plan for the Brazilian Council for Food and Nutritional Security
• Investigate, write, edit, and publish news related to CONSEA’s activities on official communication channels, engaging with media outlets for dissemination;
• Survey actions related to food and nutritional security in the press and on the repercussions of CONSEA’s activities in the press;
• Produce content to support the debates of the 6th Brazilian Conference on Food and Nutrition Security;
• The person hired as a consultant must hold periodic virtual and/or face-to-face meetings with members appointed by Consea, whenever requested.
• Liaison with the Office of Communication (OCC) will be maintained, either directly or through an agreed focal point/coordinator, to ensure compliance with OCC standards, appropriate review and clearance processes.

CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING

Minimum Requirements

• University Degree in Social Communication, Journalism, Marketing or related area, according to the CAPES Knowledge Table, with a diploma duly recognized by the MEC.
• Minimum experience of 5 (five) years in work, research and/or consultancy related to press relations.
• Working knowledge (level C) of Portuguese and English
• Brazilian Nationality or other legally authorized to work in Brazil

Selection Criteria

• Post-graduation degree in Institutional Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or related areas;
• Professional experience of 2 (two) years in press consultancy or content production in the area of food and nutritional security, health and/or other human rights;
• Professional experience of 2 (two) years in public or private institutions in the area of Communication.
