Under the overall guidance of the Country Representative and direct supervision of the Project Manager, the Communication and Knowledge Sharing Assistant plays a crucial role within the Uzbekistan team and the Global Communications and Knowledge Sharing team. The incumbent will primarily focus on elevating the organization’s profile by contributing to the design and implementation of impactful audience-focused communication and knowledge-sharing initiatives, contribute to promoting GGGI’s brand and effectively communicating our impact stories both internally and externally through creative and innovative approaches. Working closely with project staff including GGGI’s Nukus office, the role involves providing support for outreach activities related to the KOICA-funded Aral Sea GRIP project, AFD-funded Strategic Environmental Assessment, and Business Development Platform operations.
Assist in the development and implementation of audience-centric communication and knowledge sharing initiatives to enhance and promote GGGI’s visibility. This includes the upkeep of digital platforms including the GGGI social media accounts, website, the project website, and the Business Development Platform.
Contribute to the design and implementation of communication initiatives for specific projects, including the KOICA-funded Aral Sea GRIP project, AFD-funded Strategic Environmental Assessment, and Business Development Platform operations.
Assist in the successful implementation of workshops and knowledge sharing events.
Engagement:

- Engage GGGI global communication and knowledge-sharing team members to share, shape, and deliver effective and impactful communication and knowledge-sharing initiatives and amplify the impact stories of GGGI Uzbekistan regionally and globally.
- Support the engagement with media outlets to raise the visibility of GGGI Uzbekistan
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather information and insights for communication purposes.
Delivery:
- Create compelling communication products, including written content (press releases, event write ups, impact stories etc.), visuals (infographics, videos, gifts, etc.), and multimedia materials, to convey project achievements and impacts.
- Ensure the consistent content update ondigital platforms including GGGI’s social media channels in Uzbekistan.
- Assist in covering events by taking photographs, recording interviews, and assisting with event visibility and communication strategies.
- Ensure alignment with organizational branding guidelines and messaging standards.
- Support internal communication through SharePoint file maintanance the SharePoint update.
- Support the layout of PPT presentations and internal communication materials as per GGGI visual guidelines and standards.

Qualifications:
- A minimum bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, audiovisual communication, graphic design, marketing, or related field.
- Preferably at least 1 year of professional experience in communications areas, preferably experience working in institutional/social communication with institutions and/or working in integrating multimedia communication products for organizations.
- Advanced skill level in graphic design, editorial design, and video editing programs. Adobe Creative Cloud preferred (Photoshop, illustrator, Premier Pro, InDesign, Adobe Audition, Lightroom After Effects).
- Experience in managing social media (Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook), tools for its management and content generation.
- Proven experience in designing and uploading posts for social media, infographics, and editing videos and documents.
- Interest and knowledge on green growth, climate-smart agriculture, and climate change.
- Excellent written and spoken English, Uzbek and Russian.
- Ability to work under pressure and have a flexible approach to tasks.

- Exceptional ability to pay attention to details, particularly concerning communications pieces and following rules & guidelines.
