The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Communications Associate in Viet Nam. As the key architect of our country-level communications strategy and plan, the Communications Associate will play a vital role in crafting a narrative that is not only creative and innovative but also inherently inclusive. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of conveying GGGI Viet Nam’s day-to-day activities with finesse. We are looking for an individual with a flair for effective communication, possessing strong interpersonal competency to engage seamlessly with various stakeholders, including government entities, donors, and development partners. The role demands a keen understanding of the media landscape, ensuring that GGGI’s message resonates powerfully with its intended audiences. The focus of this role is to assist the execution of both internal and external communications and knowledge sharing to promote GGGI, disseminate relevant timely information on all GGGI projects in Viet Nam, and support HQ communication and knowledge sharing initiatives. The Communications Associate supports the development and implementation of communication plans, including the creation of content and visual, media engagement, collateral production, and use of digital platforms (social media, website, newsletter, etc.) to inform and engage target audiences. The Communications Associate actively contributes to building a positive reputation of GGGI through compelling messages and creative visuals that are in line with GGGI values, branding guidelines, communications and knowledge sharing strategy, and country objectives.
Engagement:
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with national and local media outlets and journalists for relevant coverage of GGGI’s work.
  • Liaise with communication service providers, such as event organizers, to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of tasks, services, products, etc.
  • Support build a strong collaborative working relationship with the Communication and Knowledge Sharing Unit at HQ and ensure the smooth implementation of communication, branding guidelines and policies.
Delivery:
The Communications Associate is responsible for supporting the execution of a range of communications functions including:
Content development, production, and dissemination:
  • Develop audience centric contents for media communications, including talking points, press releases, op-eds, website updates, factsheets, newsletters, and tailored content for social media. Ensure that all information is up to date and accurate.
  • Develop and produce high-quality communication materials including blogs, reports, multi-media presentations for internal as well as external audiences; and communications products and collaterals such as brochures, media kit, presentations, factsheets, reports, and promotional videos.
  • Develop and ensure consistent high-quality content and updates of all Viet Nam country project fact sheets, project reference sheets, country brochures, and all website project pages.
  • Create infographics and other visual content for online and print.
  • Collect and develop impact stories and disseminate these through GGGI platforms and/or donor reports and platforms.
  • Monitor and review analytics on coverage of key GGGI Viet Nam issues in national and regional media and track GGGI Viet Nam media hits. Monitor articles relevant to GGGI’s work in Viet Nam and distribute them to the wider team. Prepare regular and event specific communications reports, including media tracking and analysis.
Administration of GGGI Viet Nam social media, website updates and internal communications channels:
  • Co-administer and regularly develop content for GGGI Viet Nam social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) and website; ensure the use of online channels is in line with GGGI core values and best practices.
  • Ensure that activities of all GGGI Viet Nam country programs and projects are timely updated on internal communication channels.
Other support:
  • Support the communications of all GGGI events and webinars for country programs, press conferences and media relations activities and initiatives by donors/partners to ensure alignment and complementarity as needed.
  • Coordinate photography for/of events, activities, etc., for use in publications, media, etc., and maintain graphic and photo files and media archive through the established global photo library.
  • As brand-champion ensure the consistent application of GGGI’s brand to all communication and knowledge sharing productsproofread and support format program and project documents, training materials, and other communications materials.Any other tasks related to his/her work scope as requested by Country Representative and/or program managers.
  • Following GGGI global guidelines coordinate and manage country program publication including Proofread, design, and assist in publishing of GGGI reports and disseminate these.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in the field of Marketing, Media, Broadcasting, Journalism, Design, or related fields.
  • Preferred minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in media, content production, digital communications, graphic design, event organization, or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Vietnamese and English, with experiences in conveying messages to different audiences using diverse media.
  • Experience in editing and proofreading corporate communications documents for public dissemination.
  • Ability to ensure clear understanding of one’s message by adopting a range of styles, tools, and techniques appropriate to the audience and the nature of the information.
  • Proficient in the use of social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), design software (Adobe Suite, Photoshop), Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in creating email communication campaigns, and online event management.
