Job description
The Communications Coordinator plays a key role in the development and delivery of diverse communications activities which promote the reputation and work of Purple House and support its service delivery. Working closely with the Communications & Engagement Manager, the Communications Coordinator will develop content which shares our story, coordinates campaigns, manages the organisation’s communication channels, and delivers stakeholder engagement activities.

About the role
- Coordinate the production and publication of internal and external communications.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain the Purple House website and social media channels.
- Draft and edit content, design work, and documentation.
- Project manage campaigns and special events.
- Coordinate marketing collateral and merchandise.
- Coordinate communication and marketing activities for the Purple House Social Enterprise Hub.
- Represent Purple House externally with a diverse range of stakeholders and support strategic engagement.
About you
- Demonstrated two (2) years’ work experience in Events Management, Communications & Marketing or related role.
- Well-developed business administration, organisational and task management skills.
- Advanced interpersonal skills with emphasis on written and verbal communication.
- Excellent attention to detail which can be applied to proofreading and editing in a range of media – written, photographic and videographic.
- Proven ability to engage with diverse audiences and outstanding customer service skills.
- Experience in roles requiring good judgement and an understanding of organisational risk.
- Intermediate to advance computer literacy, including experience with photo/video editing software and MS Office suite.
What we offer
Purple House is a registered not for profit with excellent salary packaging options with Community Business Bureau (CBB) – dependent on individual circumstances – per FBT year.
- Up to $15,899 for most formal loans/debts.
- Up to $15,899 remote locality (rent/mortgage/utilities).
- Salary package up to $2,650 on meal, entertainment and holiday accommodation.
- Additional items covered under Salary Packaging by CBB.
- Study leave after 12 months.
- Relocation allowance up to $5000 for eligible (successful) applications.
