EuroHealthNet is the European Partnership for health, equity and wellbeing. It consists of over 70 bodies from European countries responsible for public health and health promotion. From our office in Brussels, we coordinate policy, advocacy, research, and capacity- building activities that help address health inequalities and positively affect the determinants of health.
There are currently 22 highly skilled colleagues in the office plus rotating internships, all of whom contribute to an active, diverse, and dynamic work environment. You can read about our work at eurohealthnet.eu.
EuroHealthNet’s activities take place across three complementary Platforms covering Policy, Practice, and Research. A core management and administration team unify and build connections between the Platforms. Within the core team, communications activities amplify the messages and expertise of the EuroHealthNet Partnership.
EuroHealthNet is currently looking for a motivated, highly skilled Communications Coordinator or Communications Officer to join its dynamic team in Brussels. The exact position will depend on the candidate’s experience and skills.
EuroHealthNet’s Communications team amplifies the messages and expertise of Partnership members by disseminating reliable, evidence-based, and timely information to public health and social equity actors, and policy- and decision-makers. The team creates connections between public health professionals, resources, and initiatives to facilitate advocacy for a healthier and fairer Europe.
The Communications Coordinator/Officer is accountable to the Senior Communications Coordinator and the relevant Programme Manager, with occasional reporting to the Director.
The position provides opportunities for initiative regarding specific tasks, such as those set out below. The successful candidate will be expected to take part in the strategic communications work plan, fulfilling a problem-solving role where high-level knowledge and experience is required. They will develop strong networking with colleagues, members, and stakeholders.
This position is offered according to Belgian national legislation. While it is foreseen as a full-time position for 38 hours a week, there is a possibility to work 30 hours a week (80%). The successful candidate will be offered a fixed-term contract of one year, with the possibility of obtaining an extension or a permanent contract afterwards. All applicants must be qualified, eligible, and able to work in Belgium.
The annual gross salary ranges between €3,000 and €3,500 depending on experience and qualifications. It will also include benefits such as meal vouchers, financial support towards the use of public transport to work, and hospital insurance.
The successful candidate must be based in Belgium or willing to relocate. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide financial assistance for relocation. The post will combine in- office and remote work, as well as occasional travel within Europe. The necessary materials to work remotely (e.g., laptop) will be supplied.
Diversity is a core value of EuroHealthNet. We are passionate about building and sustaining an inclusive and equitable working and learning environment. Every member of our team enriches our diversity by exposing us to ways to understand and engage with the world, identify challenges, and design and deliver solutions. We offer a flexible working environment, in line with our Workplace Gender, Equality and Diversity Policy, and reasonable accommodations will be made for people who identify as living with a disability.
