We are looking for a motivated individual to support the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) team in the Climate Action and Inclusive Development (CAID) unit in written, online and creative communication work.

This internship is expected to be particularly beneficial for candidates who seek early-stage development into communications or creativity professional in the public sector in international contexts, or those who would like to apply their training into professional outputs for international audience.

This internship offers two distinct and interrelated streams of work: written and online communication, and creative communication. Applicants are encouraged to review the outlined tasks and qualifications for each stream and identify the stream they are applying to in their application.

Under the written and online communications stream, the intern would perform the following tasks depending on the skill set and development path of the intern:

  • Monitor, collect and analyze key performance metrics on online and web communications, including website traffic, event analytics, social media audience and other communication activity data.
  • Support implementation of project activities, including coordination with project partners, updating project webpages and web content, supporting preparation of project-related online and in-person events.
  • Draft newsletters, event write-ups, press releases, social media posts and report sections
  • Assist management of and identify improvements for GGKP social media accounts on LinkedIn, Youtube, Facebook and Twitter
  • Support planning, coordination and delivery of online or in-person events
  • Identify, collect, summarise and post knowledge resources including research publications, case studies, impact stories and multimedia from partners and other established sources (universal task for all interns in the team)

Under the creative communications stream, the intern would perform one or more of the following tasks depending on the skill set and development path of the intern:

  • Create informative or promotional graphics for publication, web and social media
  • Support layout of publications according to GGKP and GGGI publication standards
  • Produce audio or video outputs from existing or original sources
  • Provide inputs to visual guidelines or UX/UI design for new products
  • Visualize data-based results from project activities and quantitative data for input into research and reports
  • Identify, collect, summarise and post knowledge resources including research publications, case studies, impact stories and multimedia from partners and other established sources (universal task for all interns in the team)

Eligibility :

  • To be eligible for an internship, candidates must:
  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s (ideally in final year), Master’s or PhD program prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate within the last 12 months.
  • Possess a working command of English.

Qualifications:

  • For written and online communications stream, excellent command of English and experience of using English outside of academic settings. Familiarity or previous experience in using social media for business or professional contexts is a plus.
  • For creative communications stream, skills, previous experience in or willingness to learn use of Adobe Creative Suite apps(s) or similar software, particularly on one or more of the following: page layout, infographic design, audio or video editing, data visualization, web or UX/UI design.
  • Proven computer literacy in standard office software applications skills, as well as willingness to learn new tools required.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds and time zones.
