We are looking for a Communications Manager to work across a wide range of projects, helping to
significantly increase brand awareness and recognition, audience engagement and drive
recruitment and retention of Earth Trust’s community of supporters, including visitors,
members, volunteers and partners across our work.

About the role

Working closely with other functions across the organisation, the Communication Manager role
will develop and deliver communication plans for key areas of Earth’s Trust’s work in support
of our strategic goal to significantly grow our community for change, manage Earth Trust’s
brand development and oversee press and media engagement.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, create and implement marcomms and fundraising campaigns that raise awareness of the
    work of Earth Trust, deliver audience growth, drive audience engagement and conversion to our
    community of supporters (members, volunteers, donors and partners), and help to generate income
    for the charity
  • Develop and measure communications approaches to drive our supporter, partner and visitor
    “journey”, including interpreting and sharing audience insight, championing the audience voice
    and collaborating with colleagues to ensure audiences needs are met – reviewing regularly and
    revising approaches as required
  • Develop and lead the implementation of a PR and media strategy that supports our
    organisational objectives
  • Support Communications Officers with the day-to-day operational outputs, oversee
    communication planning tools, and structure weekly team meetings to facilitate efficiency and
    effectiveness in execution of communication workplans

We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and confident communicator with an excellent
understanding – and track record – of individual giving, marketing and communication principles
and projects, a broad range of channels and tools and how they support an overall strategic
framework.

Hours: Full-time
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid/Earth Trust Centre, Little Wittenham OX14 4QZ
Salary: £33k per annum
Benefits: 26+ days’ holiday per year, up to 7.72% pension contribution
