Our union is the voice for 17,000 teachers and school support staff working in non-government education across Queensland and the Northern Territory.
We are looking for a new member of our Communications Team working in the full-time, ongoing role of Communications Officer.
Our union seeks a talented writer, digital communicator and designer.
We need a creative thinker with great attention to detail who can work to strict deadlines and manage multiple competing tasks.
The duties of this full-time, ongoing position include the following:
- Researching, writing and editing short and long-form content for various channels, including online newsletters and magazines.
- Producing digital content, including video, to help tell our members’ stories and show how we make a difference as a union.
- Maintaining and moderating our union’s social media channels, including content development.
- Assisting in the maintenance of our union’s website and digital assets.
- Designing engaging member content, including our union’s member magazine.
- Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and Vision6 is desirable but not essential as training will be provided to the successful candidate as appropriate.
The position is based in our Brisbane office.

A salary package dependent on qualifications and experience will be determined.
