Functional Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Communications Specialist – Brand and DesignCommunications Specialist – Brand and Designwill deliver in the following areas:
Corporate branding and design
- Prepare Global Programme on PCVE templates
Development of capacity building products
- Co-lead the creation of capacity building products with technical specialists, such as toolkits and training materials
Development of research and evaluation deliverables
- Design of research papers
- Design of evaluation reports and evaluation snapshots
Development of promotional materials
- Design of Global Programme on PCVE brochures, videos and social media materials
- Design of event and conference materials such as slide decks and banners
The Communications Specialist – Brand and Design will ensure alignment to UNOCT and UN branding
guidelines, work closely with staff and consultants working under the Global Programme on PCVE and liaise with the UNOCT Communications Unit as needed.

Education/Experience/Language requirements

- Master’s degree preferably in communications, graphic design, film making, art direction or another relevant field relevant field, or
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic design, film making, art direction or another relevant field along with two (2) additional years of relevant work experience.
- Technical/Professional Diploma preferably in graphic design, communication, film making, art direction or related field along with nine (9) additional years of relevant work experience.
Work Experience
- Minimum of five (05) years of experience in developing communications products is required.
- Experience producing a diverse range of communications products including brochures, reports, slide decks, banners and video is required.
- Experience in data visualisation is required.
- Advance proficiency of design software such as InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop is required.
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders to produce high quality visual communications is required.
- Editing skills on software such as Adobe Premier Pro, Final Pro Cut, and Vimeo is desirable.
Language requirements - Fluency in English (write, read, talk) is required.
