The Junction Works is a not for profit provider that has been operating within the communities of South West Sydney since 1987. With our Mission of creating possibilities in people’s lives, we focus on delivering creative and enriching community, youth, children’s and disability services that are designed to improve the lives of some of our community’s most vulnerable people.

The Junction Works main office/service centre is based at Austral, with multiple program sites, servicing people from the LGAs of Canterbury-Bankstown, Camden, Campbelltown, Fairfield and Liverpool.

The role

  • Provide counselling support and services to children and youth.
  • Developing and delivering funded Community, Youth & Children’s Services projects across the Liverpool, Fairfield, Canterbury-Bankstown and Campbelltown LGA’s.
  • Strengthening resilience in families and increasing Community members, young people & children’s participation in the Community and within TJW.
  • Provide Targeted Early Intervention – Program Activities (Community Connections, Community Centres, Community Support and Targeted Support) as per DCJ Agreement for funding of services.

Role requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Counselling / Social Work (minimum requirement – Diploma of Counselling)
  • Experience providing counselling services to children and young people, including clients with challenging behaviours
  • Experience in developing and delivering Programs in a Community, Youth and Children’s Services environment
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence (minimum P2 licence)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
