Community Base Protection Officer.

Description

Under the supervision of the Project coordinator, the Community base protection officer (CBP) will be responsible for:

 

§ Channeling the communication among the Project coordinator and the activities facilitator, community mobilizer’s staff (challenge, needs, activities, attendance).

§ Planning the activities of the project, together with the Project coordinator;

§ Coordinating the overall field work with a daily presence to oversee the day-to-day activities: checking that activities are delivered following established plans and standards;

§ Ensuring the proper implementation of the established qualitative objectives by creating an effective monitoring plan together with the Project coordinator and regularly following up the plan;

§ Reporting daily to the Project coordinator and protection officer about activities conducted, core issues and possible challenges;

§ Monitoring that the database related to the data collected by the staff is regularly updated;

§ Based on the needs of the project, the Community base protection officer (CBP) will collect the data needed and/or draft the needed report;

§ Assisting the Project coordinator in implementing the evaluation of the activities facilitator, community mobilizer’s staff.

§ Making sure the behavior of the staff during working hours is coherent with TDH policies and code of conduct;

§ Manage the community outreach volunteers and lawyer volunteers in their activities and plan

§ Any other duties assigned by line managers.

§ Conducting meeting and foucs groups with PoCs.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

BA in Social Sciences or any other relevant fields

At least one years relevant professional experience in similar position in humanitarian sector (previous experience with INGOs is an asset);

one year and above on managing the team at field and inside the center.

Experience in child and general protection.

Excellent communication skills

Language and Computer skills:

Strong English and  Arabic  skills both written and verbal.

good skills in MS program.
