• Full Time Maximum Term Contract until 30 June 2025
• Classification: SCHADS Level 5 with a salary range of $93,959 – $98,207 per annum + Superannuation

About your new role

You will lead a small team of Community Link workers to work alongside a trans-disciplinary team inclusive of mental health clinicians, peer and specialist workers and consultant psychiatrist. The Community Connection Lead and Community Link Workers will support a high engagement model of care, through active engagement of community stakeholders and key population groups to increase the knowledge of the Community Connections Program and the Mental Health & Wellbeing Local Service.

What you will bring to the role

• Lived experience of Mental illness and demonstrated experience of recovery.
• Learnings from personal experience of mental health challenges, distress and periods of healing, which may include service use. Your recovery experience may be related to mental health, suicidal crisis, drugs and alcohol use or trauma.
• Willingness to identify or be identified by others as a professional with lived experience of recovery.
• Willingness to share and draw on lived experience purposefully in the role to instill confidence and hope in others about the journey of recovery.
• Proven experience at managing teams within the area of community service delivery or providing supervision.
• A demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships in partnership with a range of stakeholders, networking and mutual problem solving.
• Ability to plan, use and continually review self-disclosure in a purposeful, meaningful and safe way for consumers, community and self.
• Experience in developing and facilitating group activities to meet the needs of participants and communities in relation to understanding suicide and prevention including self-care management practices.
• Experience consulting and working collaboratively with communities and other stakeholders and service providers.
• Computer literacy and written communication skills
• All staff are required to adhere to Neami immunisation and vaccination policy directives to minimise the risk of vaccine preventable diseases to protect workers, other employees, consumers, and visitors.
