Purpose of the Community Connections Coordinator role

The Community Connections Coordinator is responsible for developing business opportunities to increase employment opportunities for people with a disability in our new social enterprise, Windara and in the broader community. This role is based in Casino, Northern Rivers.

Role Responsibilities

As a Community Connections Coordinator, your duties will include:

  • Work closely with marketing and communications team to develop a comprehensive calendar of events and strategic opportunities.
  • Lead initiatives in market research, networking, and relationship building to uncover and leverage new business opportunities.
  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and community organizations.
  • Maintain up-to-date information about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to enhance strategic planning.
  • Achieve and surpass revenue targets by launching innovative business initiatives.
  • Drive expansion into new markets and service lines, increasing market share and partnerships.
  • Primary point of contact for potential customers at Windara.
  • Represent Windara at industry events to elevate brand presence.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong negotiation, persuasion and networking skills to identify and seize new business opportunities to promote the employment of individuals with disabilities.
  • Prior experience in business development, sales or marketing.
  • Knowledge of disability support landscape, including regulatory requirements and funding mechanisms.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain lasting relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders.
  • Proven effective and high-quality collaborative skills.
  • Attention to detail.
