Job description
In this role you will be the key point of contact between Council, the community, service providers and government agencies for the assessment of existing and future needs of Tweed Shire residents. Your knowledge and experience will support Council and local and regional community development initiatives through research, data collation and analysis, funding submissions, evaluation and policy advice.

We are seeking:
- Degree in Social Sciences (Humanities, Economics etc), Social Planning, Social Policy or Research related discipline.
- Demonstrated capacity to network, communicate and develop cooperative working relationships with a wide range of community groups and services, and across diverse disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis, evaluation, research, group facilitation, community consultation and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience in Community Service Planning.
- Demonstrated high level oral skills, in particular negotiation and conflict resolution.
