Victoria University (VU) is seeking an experienced candidate to coordinate our Early Childhood Tertiary Partnership Program (ECTP) / Diversity and Innovation in Childhood Education (DICE) program which forms part of the Department of Educations’ Early Childhood Tertiary Partnerships Programs initiative.
About the Role:
The Community Engagement Coordinator will ensure the smooth day to day operations of the project, consult/engage with industry partners and establish relationships with employers and Local Government Association (LGA) networks/stakeholders.
Reporting to the General Manager Business Development, Industry, Government Funding and Projects.
- Working both at the operational and strategic level, provide high level project leadership for the ECTP/DICE Project.
- Proactively liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders for DICE target cohort (CALD, First Nations/ATSI, LGAs: Brimbank, Wyndham, Melton, Hume) to foster and maintain productive relationships and maintain an extensive database for the purpose of project management.
- Undertake specific information-gathering activities to ensure that the administrative and project management goals & milestones of the projects are met.
- Plan, implement and review administrative procedures for the enrolments of students in the ECTP/DICE project, to ensure quality compliance requirements of ASQA service agreement and identify opportunities for increased efficiencies and project improvements.
- Coordinate the learning process and facilitate individual learning by providing advice on strategies to overcome learning difficulties and/or work closely with specialist services to design appropriate outcomes for students.
- Actively maintain a client focused approach to the business and practice of education and training, including delivery, consultancy and partnership management.
- Provide an effective communication interface between the roles within the ECTP/DICE project and other senior members of Early Childhood Education (ECE) department at both VU TAFE and Higher Education, ensuring that they are informed of developing issues, forthcoming meetings, milestones and activities.
This role is being offered on a fixed term contract for 12 months at full time (36.75 hours per week). The classification of the role is HEP Level 8 and the salary range is $102,256 per annum to $115,153 per annum plus 17% Superannuation. This position is located at our Footscray Nicholson Street Campus.
About You:
We are looking for an individual who has:
- Relevant experience and knowledge in the Early Childhood Education sector to be able to provide strategic advice and expertise in the management of the project.
- Coordinated and managed people, programs, systems or processes.
- High level verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to produce/prepare clear, succinct and targeted briefing notes, presentations and responses.
- Ability to multitask, time management skills and meet deadlines
- Worked effectively in a changing environments that call for resourcefulness, initiative and responsiveness
