About the role

As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will play a vital role linking our service with local community service providers, to educate and promote the work that we do for our participants.

Creating relationships is a big part of this role and having the capacity to engage and build connections that generate participant referrals to our organisation.

You will be part of a team where everyone has a role to provide the best disability employment service in the country.

A typical day or week may include:

  • Build partnerships with key stakeholders to maintain a continual flow of eligible clients to our service.
  • Facilitate information sessions or attend career expos to inform the community of our services.
  • Participate in networking activities to attract participants to our service.

Who are we looking for?

Employment service experience is not essential – We want people who can bring their lived experience from other roles, ideally a networking or sales management background and industries. You must have a great work ethic, be passionate, fair and willing to support people with a disability, injury or mental health condition, find work that’s right for them.

We are looking for engaging, resilient and computer literate people who can establish and maintain effective relationships, with our jobseekers, employers, service providers and our team. Ideally you will have strong administration skills, attention to detail and must follow our compliance guidelines.

  • A professional who has the ability to build deep relationships with your colleagues, key employers and our job seekers,
  • Ability to provide coaching and support to consultants to promote job seekers to local labour markets,
  • Someone who is self-motivated, results driven, proactive and has the ability to achieve targets,
  • You must have a positive and flexible attitude with a willingness to learn,
  • Competent user of CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite

Travel is involved in this role, so you will need a driver’s licence and if successful, you will need to undertake a National Police Check and Working with Children’s Check.
