Fighting Chance is a NDIS registered provider that designs, builds, and scales social enterprises that move the dial for Australians with disability and their family. Plus is a new enterprise of Fighting Chance, consisting of a day program and a wraparound allied health team supporting people with challenging behaviours to improve their quality of life and reach their goals.

THE ROLE:

The Plus Community Engagement Lead is responsible for promoting Plus day program and clinical allied health supports in the community, and engaging with potential participants and their families/carers. With the goal of achieving and maintaining a full hub of participants.

You will be our participants’ first point of contact, responsible for assisting them throughout their intake and onboarding journey. This includes interpreting NDIS funding and obtaining relevant information from their care network in a friendly, knowledgeable and supportive manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively seeking to develop and maintain strong relationships within the local community and referral network.
  • Representing Plus at expos and similar promotional events.
  • Management of day program participant recruitment involving initial tours, trial days and the completion of intake procedures/documentation
  • Understanding of participant’s overall NDIS budget and coordination of Schedule of Supports.
  • Administrative duties including managing a database/CRM of those in the enquiry/onboarding phase.
  • Responding to phone and email enquiries from external clients and stakeholders; providing excellent customer service.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining relationships.

  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise workload and great attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with office administrative tasks.
  • Experience with the NDIS and working with people with disabilities is highly desired.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (social/community services/allied health) and recent experience in a customer-centric position.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess the right to work in Australia
  • Possess or willing to obtain the new NDIS worker screening check and Working with Children Check
  • Possess a current unrestricted NSW driver’s licence
