International Funders for Indigenous Peoples (IFIP) is a Sacramento based non-profit dedicated to shifting power, mobilizing resources, and building partnerships to amplify Indigenous leadership and support the self-determination and rights of Indigenous Peoples worldwide. As the only philanthropy network dedicated to Indigenous Peoples worldwide, IFIP influences philanthropy to practice a new paradigm of giving based on Indigenous values “The Five R’s of Indigenous Philanthropy” —Respect, Relationships, Responsibility, Reciprocity, and Redistribution.
IFIP is at an exciting moment of organizational strengthening and evolution to roll out new areas of work, meet strategic goals, and mobilize resources to Indigenous Peoples. IFIP’s global community staff, board, members, and partners are based around the world requiring flexible work hours.
Position Overview
The Community Engagement Manager is a new role that will deepen relationships and foster collaboration among members. This position supports the growth of IFIP’s global community by supporting members in making meaningful connections with one another, sharing learnings across members, managing member retention, conducting outreach to support program events, and recruiting new members into the IFIP community. This position reports to the Executive Director and works closely with the IFIP team to implement the organizations strategic goals.
The ideal candidate is mission driven, community oriented, detailed-oriented, and highly-motivated to work in service of amplifying Indigenous Philanthropy. The Manager is an avid relationship builder that can cultivate and nurture partnerships, effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, foster collaboration and engagement, and is a team player. The ideal candidate also brings direct and first-hand knowledge of Indigenous Peoples’ values, worldviews, and rights. IFIP members include funder organizations and international indigenous organizations, and the manager will need the skills and abilities to communicate effectively with both groups.

Job details: This is a full-time, exempt, remote position with occasional travel to the Sacramento, CA office required. IFIP’s team and stakeholders are based worldwide in different time zones requiring flexible work schedules. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 based on experience. IFIP offers a competitive benefits package, including paid time off and holidays.
