We are seeking a dedicated Community Engagement Officer to promote the Care Finder service within the community and support older people to understand and connect with required services, including My Aged Care, using warm referrals and monitoring client engagement.

Reporting to the Team Lead, you will perform the following:

  • Identify opportunities to promote and share information about the Care Finder program and EACH, including taking part in the organisation and delivery of events and activities.
  • Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of a Community Awareness Strategy.
  • Build relationships with external service providers and report on opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships that progress Connect and Care Finder toward its objectives.
  • Maintain a client caseload to support clients to understand and connect with required services, including My Aged Care, using warm referrals and monitoring client engagement.

If you’re a Community Engagement enthusiast, with a keen interest in supporting older adults within the community, you might be exactly the person we’re looking for!

The Community Engagement Coordinator will have sound knowledge and experience in community engagement. They will work collaboratively with the Connect Care team, Stakeholders, Other Care finder teams and Older Adult teams.

  • Current state-based driver’s license, car and insurance.
  • Qualification in aged care or community services (highly regarded).
  • Ability to occasionally work after hours (highly regarded).
  • Experience with website and social media as a communication tool (highly regarded).
  • Ability to speak an additional language (highly regarded).
