About the job
As an Enrolled Nurse with BaptistCare at home you will be responsible for delivering high quality clinical care that support our customers to remain living at home. You’ll develop genuine connections with our customers and their loved ones and assist them to implement innovative strategies that will optimise their health and well-being and support their independence.
Key responsibilities
Clinical Care
Deliver safe and effective clinical care under the direct/indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse by:
- Performing holistic assessments utilising BaptistCare’s clinical assessment tools, when indicated.
- Actioning referrals within reasonable timeframes.
- Maintaining knowledge of best practice and evidence-based approaches and implementing care in accordance with these principles.
- Maintain competency in clinical areas.
- Administer medications based on the Enrolled Nurse scope of practice.
- Work within the BaptistCare Scope of Practice for Enrolled Nurses.
Exceptional Customer Service
Deliver exceptional service to BaptistCare customers by:
- Equipping customers with the information they require to exercise autonomy and make informed decisions about their care and services.
- Delivering a timely, professional response to customer feedback and complaints and actively assisting with addressing and resolving these matters.
Reporting and Compliance
- Maintain timely, accurate customer and organisational records.
- Complete monthly reporting requirements.
- Comply with all relevant BaptistCare policies and procedures.
Essential qualifications and experience:
- Current Enrolled Nurse qualifications with current AHPRA registration
- Current clinical skills with experience in acute or aged care sector
- Current Driver’s licence
Key requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Intermediate level of computer skills.
- Ability to work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and as part of a team.
- An understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promote the organisation’s values through interactions at work.
Desirable qualifications, competencies and experiences:
- Experience in Community Nursing
- Experience in Aged Care
