Community Health Educator (Female)

Main Purpose:                 

                              

Prepare, provide and present health education sessions to the population/patients according MSF principles and values in order to promote health information through health measures and hygiene conditions as well as provide information about MSF activities in order to facilitate access to healthcare.

 

Accountabilities

• Prepare material and deliver health education sessions, messages and topics addressed to different populations regarding hygiene, diseases and prevention.
• Ensure all the patients and caretakers are well informed, according to protocols, about health-related issues and services provided.
• Monitor health situation and living conditions of the population by conducting nutritional screening, collecting information related to food security, checking vaccination status of children, looking actively for any defaulters in programs that require this type of research, collecting information on number of people arriving or leaving the community, births and deaths in the community,etc.
• Identify people with medical problems, contact with medical team and report for immediate transfer if She must inform to the line manager about any problem encountered (population, equipment, material…).
• Report to line manager of all results of screening and visits on a regular basis.
• Involve in Digital Health Promotion (DHP) campaign, prepare material, manage and respond to comments on MSF social media as needed.

 

 

MSF Specific Accountabilities

• Deliver health education sessions to individuals/groups in MSF facilities and community settings (outreach venues and mobile clinics), according to the health promotion strategy.
• Educate the population on relevant health topics and disease prevention such as; women’s health (antenatal/postnatal care, safe deliveries, family- planning, breastfeeding), infant/child health, nutrition, hygiene and smoking cessation or any other health topic related to the health or epidemiological situation in the city or country of the mission.
• Promote and raise awareness of MSF services and the patient admission criteria (Al Amal Maternity Hospital, AL-Obour / Outreach community/ mobile clinics) to patients, caretakers, communities, and national/international partners, such as District of Health (DoH).
• Monitor MSF patient experiences, health needs and behaviors, by using screening tools or conducting Analyze and present findings to your line manager, team or department.

 

• To be proactive in proposing ideas and solutions to improve the health of the population and quality of MSF
• Communicate with MSF patients and caretakers by phone; responding to enquiries, giving pre/post admission advice and having follow up discussions.

 

• Collect data accurately and confidentially and contributing to activity reports for the line manager in a timely manner.
• Participate in local, national and worldwide health awareness events.

 

• Be prepared to work flexibly between different work locations in Neveah and Mosul (AL-Obour Center, Al-Amal Maternity Center, Mobile Clinics) Communities and be motivated to respond to emergency humanitarian health promotion needs at short notice.
• If there is a change in medical or project needs, respect your line managers request to adapt daily tasks.
• Collaborate efficiently with the other MSF departments (Midwives, Nurses, Doctors, Infection and Prevention Control, Logistics and Mental Health) to ensure the best health outcomes for the patients.
• Adhere to MSF protocols, principles and values during
• Be active in professionally developing yourself by attending trainings and patriating in work projects.
• Complete daily tasks with motivation, by being proactive and using good teamwork ethics.
• Organize and plan your work activities and holiday leave well so that it does not negatively impact the workload and team
• Adopt a non-judgmental attitude towards people’s health behaviors.
• To maintain excellent communication with your colleagues and line manager/supervisor.

إعداد وتوفير وتقديم جلسات التثقيف الصحي للسكان/المرضى وفقًا لمبادئ وقيم منظمة أطباء بلا حدود من أجل تعزيز المعلومات الصحية من خلال التدابير الصحية وشروط النظافة بالإضافة إلى توفير معلومات حول أنشطة منظمة أطباء بلا حدود من أجل تسهيل الوصول إلى الرعاية الصحية.

 

 

المسؤوليات:

 

• إعداد المواد وتقديم جلسات التثقيف الصحي والرسائل والمواضيع الموجهة إلى مختلف السكان فيما يتعلق بالنظافة والأمراض والوقاية.

 

• التأكد من أن جميع المرضى ومقدمي الرعاية على اطلاع جيد،

وفقًا للبروتوكولات، حول القضايا والخدمات المتعلقة بالصحة

المقدمة.

 

• مراقبة الوضع الصحي والظروف المعيشية للسكان عن طريق

إجراء الفحص الغذائي، وجمع المعلومات المتعلقة بالأمن الغذائي،

والتحقق من حالة تطعيم الأطفال، والبحث بنشاط عن أي متخلفين

في البرامج التي تتطلب هذا النوع من البحوث، وجمع المعلومات

عن عدد الأشخاص القادمين أو المغادرين من والى المجتمع،

والولادات والوفيات في المجتمع، وما إلى ذلك.

 

• التعرف على الأشخاص الذين يعانون من مشاكل طبية،

والتواصل مع الفريق الطبي والإبلاغ عن الاحالة الفورية إذا لزم

الأمر. وعليه / عليها إبلاغ المدير المباشر بأي مشكلة يواجها

) السكان، المعدات، المواد … (.

• تقديم تقرير إلى المدير المباشر لجميع نتائج الفحص والزيارات

على أساس منتظم.

• المشاركة في حملة تعزيز الصحة الرقمية، وإعداد

المواد، وإدارة التعليقات على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي لمنظمة

أطباء بلا حدود والرد عليها حسب الحاجة.

 

المسؤوليات المحددة لمنظمة أطباء بلا حدود:

 

• تقديم جلسات التثقيف الصحي للأفراد/المجموعات في مرافق

منظمة أطباء بلا حدود والبيئات المجتمعية (أماكن التوعية

والعيادات المتنقلة)، وفقًا لاستراتيجية تعزيز الصحة.

• تثقيف السكان حول المواضيع الصحية ذات الصلة والوقاية من

الأمراض مثل؛ صحة المرأة رعاية ما قبل وما بعد الولادة،

والولادات الآمنة، وتنظيم الأسرة، والرضاعة الطبيعية وصحة

الرضع/الأطفال، والتغذية، والنظافة، والإقلاع عن التدخين، واي مواضيع صحية أخرى لها علاقة بالوضع الصحي او الوبائي في المدينة او بلد البعثة.

 

• تعزيز ورفع مستوى الوعي بخدمات منظمة أطباء بلا حدود

ومعايير قبول المرضى) 1. مركز الأمل للولادة 2. العبور / التوعية المجتمعية /العيادات المتنقلة (للمرضى ومقدمي الرعاية والمجتمعات والشركاء الوطنيين/الدوليين، مثل دائرة الصحة.

 

• رصد تجارب المرضى التابعين لمنظمة أطباء بلا حدود،

والاحتياجات والسلوكيات الصحية، باستخدام أدوات الفحص أو

إجراء الدراسات الاستقصائية. قم بتحليل النتائج وتقديمها إلى

مديرك المباشر أو فريقك أو قسمك.

 

 

• أن تكون سباقا في اقتراح الأفكار والحلول لتحسين صحة السكان

وجودة الخدمات التي تقدمها منظمة أطباء بلا حدود.

 

• التواصل مع مرضى منظمة أطباء بلا حدود ومقدمي الرعاية عبر

الهاتف. الرد على الاستفسارات وتقديم المشورة قبل / بعد القبول

وإجراء مناقشات المتابعة.

 

• جمع البيانات بدقة وسرية والمساهمة في تقارير النشاط للمدير

المباشر في الوقت المناسب.

 

• المشاركة في فعاليات التوعية الصحية المحلية والوطنية

والعالمية.

 

• ان يكون على استعداد للعمل بمرونة بين مواقع العمل المختلفة في

الموصل (مركز العبور، مركز الامل للولادة، العيادات المتنقلة) المجتمعات ويكون الدافع للاستجابة لاحتياجات تعزيز الصحة الإنسانية الطارئة في وقت قصير.

 

• إذا كان هناك تغيير في الاحتياجات الطبية أو احتياجات المشروع،

فاحترم طلب مديرك المباشر بتكييف المهام اليومية.

 

• التعاون بكفاءة مع أقسام منظمة أطباء بلا حدود الأخرى) القابلات ، الممرضات، الأطباء، مكافحة العدوى والوقاية منها، الخدمات اللوجستية، الصحة النفسية لضمان أفضل النتائج الصحية للمرضى.
• الالتزام ببروتوكولات منظمة أطباء بلا حدود ومبادئها وقيمها

أثناء العمل.

• ان يكون فعالا في تطوير الذات مهنيا من خلال حضور الدورات

التدريبية والمشاركة في مشاريع العمل.

• إكمال المهام اليومية وبحافز، من خلال كونه سباق ا واستخدام

أخلاقيات العمل الجماعي الجيدة.

• القيام بتنظيم وتخطيط أنشطة العمل والإجازات بشكل جيد بحيث

لا يؤثر ذلك سلبًا على عبء العمل والفريق.

 

• اعتماد موقف عدم القاء الاحكام تجاه السلوكيات الصحية للناس.

 

• للحفاظ على التواصل الممتاز مع زملائك والمدير

Requirements

 

 

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences relevant field or diploma (e.g. public health, nursing, community health, psychology) is Desirable

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years working experience in conducting awareness, teaching or training sessions is Essential
• Experience of working in health promotion or health education and Experience in the use of data collection tools is Desirable

Languages:

• Fluent in Arabic is Essential
• Good English commands is Desirable

التعليم:

• درجة البكالوريوس في المجال ذي الصلة (مثل الصحة العامة، التمريض، صحة المجتمع، علم النفس، العلوم الاجتماعية) أمر مرغوب فيه.

 

الخبرة:

• الحد الأدنى من الخبرة العملية لمدة سنتين في إجراء دورات التوعية أو التدريس أو التدريب أمر ضروري.

 

• خبرة في العمل في مجال تعزيز الصحة أو التثقيف الصحي والخبرة في استخدام أدوات جمع البيانات أمر مرغوب فيه.

 

 

اللغات:

 

• إتقان اللغة العربية أمر ضروري.
