We are looking for a Community Manager who will be a key supporter for entrepreneurs and startups in PIER71’s global community.
Your role is to be a super connector who understands startups and provides community support to both our startup, corporate partners and investor networks.
This position offers the opportunity to embed yourself in the PIER71’s global network while having a first-hand opportunity to shape PIER71’s positioning for scaling our Landing Pad and other startup support programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Re-design, launch and oversee the PIER71 Landing Pad programme, a soft landing programme for startups with promising technologies to leverage. They’ll leverage the support to explore the industry, land in Singapore or prepare themselves for PIER71’s other programmes.
Manage our global community of startups through strategic and proactive engagement
Engage the community through written mediums including Slack (or equivalent) posts, and emails
Provide general support to our startups in Landing Pad, connecting them with resources and mentors as needed
Conduct community outreach initiatives and signature events to drive interest and participation from and provide value to the startups
Oversee operations for our Landing Pad community including managing Service Agreements, payments, move-in and move-out of the PIER71 office, curating on-boarding materials.
Conduct 6-monthly review with the startups and ensure updated records
Analyze engagement metrics and make recommendations for improvement
Qualifications
Degree Holder with at least 4 years’ of relevant experience
Experience with running events and outreach programmes
Passionate about entrepreneurship
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisation skills with the ability to multitasks projects from start to finish
Attentive to details and manage tasks efficiently and effectively
Self-starter, able to work in a fast paced environment
Enjoy and thrive at continually growing relationships
Definite advantage:
Knowledge and experience in any one of these areas – financial services, maritime and port, aviation and travel, transportation, cybersecurity, ecommerce, digitalisation
Good knowledge of the Tech start-ups industry from prior experience with a Tech start-up, VC, incubator, accelerator, etc.
Good understanding of IT or technology businesses, products and services, or related experience
