Job Overview/Summary:

Community mobilizer under the supervision of PRoL team, the mobilizer is responsible for helping the PRoL team in their activities such as receiving beneficiaries, inform people in the areas nearby the center about the activities of the center and sort of assistance provided at the center, attend at the center to receive beneficiaries, then refer them to the PRoL team, do outreach activities at the center and out of it.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • To help PRoL team to do their activities and meet targets.
  • They should be available in the center to receive beneficiaries and identify their needs and refer them to the PRoL team.
  • They have to pay field visits to the areas nearby the center to do outreach activities; inform beneficiaries to attend at the center to receive assistance and to inform them about the sort of activities provided at the center.
  • Help PRoL activities, including awareness raising campaigns, meetings, home to home visit and cases referral and support for refugee/host community.
  • Assist in the supervisions of the access to services provided by protection team in the centers and field.
  • Proffer and process referral to enhance access to justice for refugee, returnees and host community.
  • Collaborate with other legal assistance providers to promote and improve the IDP/returnees’ protective environment.

Other Internal and/or external contacts: describe the nature of departments or groups the position influences or requires support from to accomplish objectives.

Internal: IRC staff

External:  Visitors

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

 

  • Should be residing in Qaim and have a valid residency card.
  • Certificate, craft certificate or license is required.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in the Humanitarian field.
  • Stable, moral, robust character and a good team-player.
  • Excellent communication skills, calm with a good sense of humor.
  • Proven commitment to accountability practices.
  • Fluent in Arabic. A basic level of English is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent knowledge of safety and security procedures and protocols.
  • The candidate must be in a good physical condition.

Total benefits:

  • Salary range: (1,219,680 – 1,524,600) Iraqi Dinars, based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity and budget as well as calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
  • 13th month salary per year.
  • 21 days of leave and 15 days of paid holidays per year.
  • IRC provides health insurance for staff and their dependents.
