COMMUNITY NAVIGATOR PROGRAM FELLOWSHIP OVERVIEW
Thank you for your interest in the Community Navigator Fellowship Program! The Community Navigator Program (CNP) is a program funded by the USFS and launched in 2023 to support underserved communities in finding and accessing federal funding and partnership support. The Community Navigator Fellowship Program is designed to be a one (1) year fellowship opportunity for early-career professionals to gain career exposure and professional development and to conduct critical outreach to communities the Community Navigator Program intends to serve.
What is the process for applying to be a CNP Fellow?
To apply for the CNP Fellowship, please complete the following Google form application, and attach a copy of your resume and a link to your LinkedIn profile (optional). Applications are due no later than midnight on February 9, 2024. What is the time commitment required of Fellows?
Fellows should commit to a minimum of 40 hours per week, and will be required to complete both team-based tasks such as attending meetings and completing collaborative projects, and independent tasks such as outreach to communities, creating content for community outreach, reviewing grant applications, and other duties assigned as necessary.
What are the benefits of serving on the Fellowship?
How are CNP Fellows selected?
CNP Fellows will be selected from applicants who submit their application prior to the February 9, 2024 deadline. Applicants will be contacted by CNP staff for a formal interview. Final selection will be made Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Priority will be given to applicants who are able to attend all meetings and meet all deadlines. Strong candidates will possess excellent communication skills and have a strong foundational knowledge of the challenges and strengths of underserved communities.
