JOB SUMMARY:
Community outreach is an integral component of CO, MHPSS, CP, and GBV services provided by IMC. The Community Outreach Officer is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the community outreach component of IMC programs in the field. Reporting directly to the Senior Community Outreach Officer.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support all aspects of the Community Outreach Program including recruitment of staff, activity support, supervision, and capacity building of all staff.
- Recruit and train community workers using internationally accepted curricula and pre/post tests.
- Meet with staff, beneficiaries, community members, and other stakeholders to provide briefing on proposed activities, implementation and monitoring plan, and roles and responsibilities of each team
member. - Meet with the team regularly to update the activity plan and discuss challenges/solutions.
- Schedule regular site visits for support and monitoring to ensure the quality of services, accurate data collection, and tracking of health education sessions and feedback forms.
- Work with team on timely procurement and delivery of required commodities.
- Compile data and submit reports with all spelling and formatting complete as per the given schedule.
- Meet with other departments, staff, beneficiaries, community members, and other stakeholders to provide a briefing on proposed activities, implementation and monitoring plan, and roles and responsibilities of each team member.
- Adhere to the IMC Code of Conduct and internationally accepted humanitarian principles.
- Analyze weekly reports from the field and provide feedback for the CW program in order to adapt programs to changing contexts.
- In cooperation with the M&E office, assist the team in conducting assessments and surveys through CWs, data assistants, etc.
- Assist in reporting, meeting donor target indicators, setting plans for monitoring and evaluation, and updating the CO trackers on a regular basis.
- Coordinate with the PHCC staff and other programs like MHPSS, CP, and GBV to streamline the referral system from the community to the service outlet and vice versa.
- Any other duty deemed necessary for the fulfillment of program objectives as discussed with the supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in medicine. Public health or a related field/master’s degree would be an asset.
- Male or female Candidate is required.
- Ability to speak & write English, Kurdish (Badini and Sorani), and Arabic.
- Ability to draft reports.
Experience:
- Good knowledge regarding outreach services.
- Previous experience with NGOs in similar programs.
- Up to 1- 2 years experience in community-based projects.
- Previous experience in delivering training.
Competency:
- Fluency in Arabic, English, and Kurdish, and ability to communicate effectively verbally and writing in.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills are necessary.
- Understanding of community-based programming.
- Ready to take initiative with teamwork
- Information seeking with analytical thinking
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills, work ethic, communication skills, and Strong leading skills.
- Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, and prioritize work under pressure.
- Work closely with the direct supervisor to smoothly implement the community outreach services.
- Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate flexibility, motivation, and maturity.
- Attention to detail, well organized, and driven to results.
- Respect the code of conduct and policies of the IMC and the standards.
Other:
- Travel regularly within Iraq and KRI areas.
