JOB SUMMARY

The Community Outreach worker is responsible for the implementation of community-based activities in the targeted location under the direction of the Community Outreach Team Leader.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES
• Actively reach out to community members of different ages (youth, adults, and older persons), gender (men and women) and abilities (including people with disabilities) through high presence within the targeted community and regular communication with community members on their needs and IMC activities including Case management of MHPSS, CP and GBV survivors.
• Conduct daily household visits within the assigned community and collect basic information about the population and health issues.
• Assist Case Manager and other IMC staff in follow-up training on mental health, psychosocial, GBV and CP support topics. Actively participate in training and other IMC events.
• Help organize weekly meetings to report information, attend training, and receive instructions regarding activities in the local community.
• Invite Beneficiaries to participate in the Community Outreach activities, including MHPSS, GBV, CP, Hygiene, Nutrition and other recreational activities, and awareness raising.
• Conduct awareness raising sessions and events actively.
• Organizing the documentation of the activities including capturing photos, attendance sheets, referring beneficiaries and any other forms that need to be filled in while respecting data protection guidelines.
• Assist in scheduling events and sessions with other IMC program departments.
• Follow the given work plans and guidelines.
• Maintain positive work relationships within IMC program departments, Community partners and outwardly in communications with Beneficiaries.
• Ensuring compliance with the zero-tolerance to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse policy.
• Any other duties assigned by the Community Outreach Coordinator.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: –
• High School graduate.
• Female Candidate is required.
• Ability to speak & write Kurdish and Arabic. Experience: –
• Good General knowledge.
• Previous experience with NGOs in similar programs. Competency: –
• Very good communication skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to conduct outreach at the community level.
• Residents of the area.
• Be able to work in a multicultural environment.
• Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic.
• Respect the code of conduct and policies of the IMC and the standards.
• Previous experience in delivering information or teaching. Other:-
• Travel on regular basis within Iraq and KRI areas.
