The Role:
We are currently seeking a Community Partnerships Specialist to join the Communities for Children (CfC) team. As a Community Partnerships Specialist you will support Community Partners to deliver initiatives and projects that improve social outcomes for children and families within the community. The role maintains strong links with the community to promote capacity building and provides input to the strategic direction and planning for the Communities for Children (CfC) Program.
This position will be offered on a permanent full-time basis working 76 hours per fortnight.

Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualification in Community Development; Social Work; Psychology; Social Science, Business or similar field.
- Relevant experience in a similar role, including working with children, families and community.
- Demonstrated experience in research, development and community consultation.
- Intermediate computer, numeracy and literacy skills.
- Intermediate organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Intermediate research and analysis skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the social, emotional and cognitive development of children, including protective and risk factors.
- Knowledge and understanding social and intergenerational disadvantaged.
- Knowledge of Asset-based community development.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders including government and community services sector representatives.
- Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date).
- Unrestricted drivers’ licence.
- Working With Children Check.
